JMW Warrenties

WARRANTY
JMW Braais & Fireplaces cc, (hereinafter referred to as “JMW”) warrant the firebox of fireplaces and braais manufactured by JMW to be free of defective workmanship or materials for a period of 10 (ten) years from date of purchase, under conditions of normal use. Normal use implies that the fireplace/braai is used in accordance with its intended purpose, and that the fire is made in the fireplace grate or braai ash pan/ember box. A condition of this warranty is that the original invoice is presented when making a claim. Use of coal, anthracite or any other material besides wood in our solid fuel fireplaces and wood or charcoal in our solid fuel braais negates this warranty. This warranty does not cover damage caused by rust or corrosion. Fire grates, ash pans, grids, valves, regulators, gas hoses and replaceable parts are covered against material and manufacturing faults for a period of 12 months from date of purchase. Damage caused during installation or due to incorrect installation or handling is not covered by this warranty. All fireplaces and braais need maintenance and repainting during their lifetime – failure to do so invalidates this warranty.

INSTALLATION GUARANTEE
JMW Braais & Fireplaces guarantees all installations performed by our approved installers against gas or rain leaks for a period of 12 months from date of installation. Should a leak be reported to JMW, we will at our discretion repair or replace components as necessary. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by incorrect use, or caused by structural/material faults existing in the building. This guarantee does not apply to peripheral damage, and must be read in conjunction with JMW Braais & Fireplaces’ standard Indemnity Waiver Agreement, which will take precedence in a dispute.

INDEMNITY WAIVER AGREEMENT
JMW Braais & Fireplaces cc, its members, employees, agents, representatives (all hereinafter referred to as “JMW”) shall not be liable for any expense, loss, damage or personal injury sustained, as a result of any past or future act or omission, whether intentional or negligent, or arising form any other cause whatsoever, including but not limited to all products and materials, supplied and/or installed by JMW or its representatives. All rights of action, which may arise against JMW as a result of personal injury, expense, loss or damage sustained, are on acceptance of a written quote or on ordering our products or services, waived and abandoned.
